A more positive change, in the vineyards and in the winery, is the newly constructed brattice style natural wood barn – “Heritage Station” market, vineyard and winery. The name “Heritage Station” is rich in history and tradition. It is to honor the railroad tracks that once bedded across the farm of the Heritage family. A truly charming and picture perfect sight to blend together and temper the balance of the vineyard and the farm.
Since 1851, the Heritage family have been one of the farming families that are the very fabric of the Richwood community. Today, as stewarts of the land, they are presently submerge in the conversion of the spirit of Richwood. Taking account the customs and rituals of centuries past, the family has found a way to adapt and adopt to the quality of progress.
